We exploit people to fill our factories…
We exploit the soil to fuel our economies…
We exploit history to fit our philosophies…
See, observe, our history. It’s full of it…
Slavery, Nazism, Apartheid…
And yet, we bow our heads…
We bowed our heads to Jesus Christ, a Jew.
We bowed our heads to Mohammed, an Arab.
We bowed our heads to Mahatma Gandhi, an Indian.
We bowed our heads to Martin Luther King, an American.
We bowed our heads to Bob Marley, a Jamaican.
We bowed our heads to Nelson Mandela, an African.
Word, Sound, Power…
The Power of God’s Word…
The Sound of redemption, Music…
Acts of peaceful defiance…
Make the inhumane machinery of injustice stop
and halt in it’s tracks. At least for a while…
That’s why we have to come together…
Communicate with each other,
Share with each other,
Learn from each other,
Love one another,
On a non-stop basis…
Speak the truth…
Speak the unspeakable…
Speak words of wisdom…
God gave us all we need…
God gave us all we have…
God gave us all we want…
For real…
Let us set aside irreconcilable differences,
Let us beat the odds,
Let us overcome evil…
Fear not for He is with us,
Fear not for He will strengthen us,
Fear not for He will help us.
For He is righteous…
This applies, not ‘ons blankes’,
This applies to us all…
